Money Counts Day is a financial literacy event at Above & Beyond Children's Museum with activities for all ages, including:
Be an Engineer
Create a communal robot and work through how to provide solutions to community-wide challenges
Penny the Pig Storytime
"Good things come to those who wait" with Penny the pig teaching children it's all right to wait for something great to come along (and save their money for the right moment).
Piggy Bank Savings
A game the whole family can play! The objective is to color in the whole pig before your money runs out. Start by rolling a dice for savings. Color the picture and add up the numbers.
Needs and Wants
Kiddos will identify needs and wants by cutting out pictures from magazines and print advertisements and categorizing them accordingly.
Cost: Price of admission ($8/person) or FREE to members
Capacity: 100 families (1 piggy bank per family)
